Subject:Beautifully decorated Japanese vase - Meiji-Taisho Period?
Posted By: Jack Mon, Nov 26, 2018 IP: 2.221.230.108

Hi all.
I've owned this vase (12 cms tall) for a while and have always assumed it to be a 'tourist piece', but as I slowly learn I can see a lot of quality in the decorations.
I think this is Japanese (possibly Satsuma) and I should like to know whether anyone can interpret the stamp on the base. Is it possibly from the Meiji-Taisho Period? Is it possible to identify the maker?
Thank you for your help.
Jack
