Can anyone help me with any information on this piece? Year" origin & what it represents. Thank you

I tried to post a response on this last week, but apparently it didn't "launch". In any event, your "chop" or stamp has a lion (shizi) grip on top and a stylized Double Happiness (囍 - Shuangxi) character on the base. It seems to have enough patina and signs of use showing to be of the late Qing or early Republic period, or circa 1900. I've PhotoShopped and flipped the character into proper reading position below.
