Subject:Mid Century Bowl

Another like this is listed in an online auction and the seller says Japanese, but it doesn't seem so to me. Can anyone confirm as Japanese or would anyone know the maker?

I think it's Japanese:
1) the man on the decoration look like a modern version of Satsuma "immortals" on older pieces, see my picture.
2) The signature has 2 characters, I can't decipher the first one, but the second one is 山 (Yama or Zan), seen in a lot of Japanese signatures as the second character of a name.
Modern piece, last decades of 20th century.
Regards,
Martin.

It is Japanese, and the mark is Kenzan 乾山, but I suggest it is not genuine. This style is widely copied, and the signature is spaced a bit too widely for my eyes.

Nevertheless, it is a charming and contemporary dish.
