Subject:Bronze charm 4
Posted By: Chris J. Sun, Nov 04, 2018 IP: 89.66.8.28

I have recentle bought a big collection of chinese bronze and silver coins (ca. four hundred coins). Approximately 1/3 of coins are from time of Ming, Song and Zhou. Under this coins there are 11 pieces which I believe are charms. Some of them could be from the time of Ming or Song dynasty. This charm I think is from Ming time. Any opinion on I would very appreciate. The charm is irregular and well worn. Diameter is ca. 4,2 cm.

A fortune bringing coin for the military,
指日高陞 - Zhi ri gao sheng - Promotion is just around the corner
The above expression is attributed to the Tang Dynasty essayist Han Yu.

With regards,
