Subject:Porcelain Pheasant Peony vase

Wondering about his vase marked made in Japan. But the "Japan" is upside down. Wondering if anyone can identify the maker and tell me the style with the painted decorations with in incised lines. The vase is Measures 12.5" Tall and 6" wide. The color is more of a cinnabar. Does the upside down mark have any significance?
