Subject:Help with Identifying Marks on Bowl
Posted By: Tracy Putnam Mon, Oct 22, 2018 IP: 68.202.194.178

I am utterly over my head with this large piece Japanese/Chinese pottery and was hoping for help identifying the markings on the bottom.

Bowl is 5 in tall x 12 in diameter

Thanks so much in advance for any assistance.

It is a Japanese Imari bowl from Arita.
The mark reads: Arita 有田 Yamatoku 山徳 Gama 窯 (Gama = kiln). Dates about 1970-1985.
Regards,
Martin.
