Got a box of Japanese porcelain, probably someones abandoned collection as the pieces are similar in theme and age. Am i correct at placing them late Edo- early meiji? Thank you.

Hi ,

On base of the colors I would say: Meiji but if the colors aren't accurate (what I expect) they can be much older. Any possibellity to correct the colors and post the front of the second one?

Regards,

Arjan

Dear Ajarn
Thank you for your reply, I took some more photos in the natural sunlight, first photo is the small plate with the 6 character sign from the main post.
Best regards
Spartakos

Hi again,

Thanks, that's better.
I think the 3 dishes are all from the same kiln and all dating from the 19th. century. they are from the Shida kiln. Ware from this kiln often looks older than they are but I think your's are from first half of that century.
You have to use a translator but herewith a link https://blogs.yahoo.co.jp/ko0214/folder/1472848.html so you can read about Shida yaki and you can compare your dishes. Your vase/pot looks newer to me.

Regards,
Arjan

Esteemed Arjan
Your information is spot on, looks very similar, I often see this kind of ceramics but never paid attention to it since it looked souvenir grade to me, I guess i was wrong, there is some collecting value in this.
Thank you again.
Best regards
Spartakos
Attached is the rest of the collection.
