Subject:Signature and information regarding painting
Posted By: Penney File Sat, Oct 06, 2018 IP: 2601:151:4600:8c7:65

Hello - would appreciate any information that can be provided regarding both the signature and the artwork itself. The painting is incredibly beautiful viewed closely, where details, such as the person walking on the path, can be scrutinized.

Hi,
The signature reads '美山', which is pronounced as Miyama and means 'Beautiful Mountain' (although in this context it is the artist's name).
If you search up the artist there are a few other hanging scrolls by them currently for sale, using the exact same seal, that cover a range of subjects. I've linked one of them for you to see.
Given the condition and style, I would say your scroll is mid-late 20th C, probably 60s/70s but maybe later.
