21in/53cm tall, signed "M.D.Runda" at the base. I'd appreciate more details thanks.

This is a Balinese wood carving. Looks contemporary. Probably carved within the last 20 years or thereabouts.

Hi Gregory, for sure it dates not later than 1960, my parents brought it from a trip to Asia back then.

You are then certainly correct with your age of the piece. The styles have not changed much since post WWII. That said, unless Balinese carvings date to 1930 or before, they are not of high value. Go onto eBay and see for yourself. Type in "bali carving" or "Balinese statue" or some version of that and you will see values and styles. Feel free to email me with any additional questions.

It was made around 1950-1960 as you told. Md.

Runda was a carved that made a lot of pieces in this style and sometimes in a style that depicted voluptues round figures.
