Subject:Help with translation
Posted By: Rod Thompson Tue, Jul 17, 2018 IP: 174.255.148.143 Need to confirm if it is Yongzheng. And if it is imperial court ware. |
Subject:Re: Help with translation
Posted By: rat Thu, Jul 19, 2018 none of these are imperial ware; they are all of recent manufacture. this one is supposed to be Yongzheng, the preceding one Qianlong, I don't remember the first one posted. |
Subject:Re: Help with something lost in translation
Posted By: Bill H. Mon, Jul 23, 2018 Well rat, I recall someone once telling me something axiomatic to the effect that if it waddles like a simpleminded duck, looks like a simpleminded duck, and quacks like a simpleminded duck, then it's safe to say it indeed is a simpleminded duck! However, I've also often observed that some quacks are simply quacks. |

Posted By: Rod Thompson Fri, Jul 20, 2018 You are absolutely wrong about the brushwasher! This was a test to see if these forums are giving people the wrong information. Why? I have all the paperwork for it! I just though I would throw it up to see what response I would get out of it.. |

Posted By: Rod Thompson Tue, Jul 24, 2018 Dont need to show paperwork. I just like to throw a wrench in once and a while! It is obviously export. But, it is not 20th century. How do I know this? Study the color, design, and even better, microscopically! Also, where I got it is a bonus. Someone highly valued! |
