Greetings!
Request your help in identifying the painting. Is it Chinese or Japanese and could you translate the script/signature. Thank you in advance!

馬列誠功 - Horses in a row - honest deed
(However, 馬列 "Ma Lie" is the phonetic transcription of Marx and Lenin, so it also can be taken as" Marx and Lenin - honest deed" - specially if we consider the dating)
癸巳年 Year of water-Snake (...1953..)
Sorry but I cannot make out the name from the
bit blurred seal.I hope somebody can help.

With regards,
I.Nagy

Correction,
I am affraid my previous reading was wrong.

Correctly reads,
馬到成功 - Success in horse

(Itook character 到 for 列 in the calligraphy of the artist, also 成 for 誠 - what a strange coincidence)

With regards,
I.Nagy
