Subject:Unknown Iron Red Chinese/Japanese Marks
Posted By: Miles Davies Fri, Apr 27, 2018 IP: 86.30.152.84

My partner is Chinese and she can read the bottom characters which may be Chinese or Japanese. Bottom left: was made (zao). Bottom right: makers name (man). The top two characters are baffling us both. Does anyone recognise either of the top two characters on this mark. This is a set of six iron/coral red cups with floral peonies and Chinese inscription ge pin fu gui which we are also unable to translate in either Japanese or Chinese. Any help on this would be awesome. Thanks in advance.

Reading of marking,
魚満昌造 - Yu Manchang-zao - Made by Yu Manchang
As of the inscription on the side, I would read
it,
弌品富貴 - Yipin Fugui - First Class, Wealth and Honor

With regards,
I.Nagy
