Subject:Qing Dynasty porcelain scholar's seal
Posted By: Selby Cook Thu, Apr 19, 2018 IP: 2602:306:c4f2:cbe0:c

Any information about my qilin seal would be greatly appreciated, especially a translation of the seal language. It appears to be similar to Ming Dynasty Wanli period figurals but it might very well be a later Qing iteration. Many thanks for help.

The seal claims to be an imperial seal from the first emperor of the Qing dynasty. But I suggest is is probably a modern fantasy piece.

The seal reads: 大清順治御覽誌寶 Da Qing ShunZhi YuLan ZhiBao.

A treasure for the appreciation of the ShunZhi emperor.

Dear Mike:

Many thanks for information even though it is probably a fake. Whoever made it went to a lot of trouble to make it look genuine. Thanks again.
