Subject:Is this bowl or platter with Xuande mark from Ming period?
Posted By: Ray Sat, Apr 07, 2018 IP: 2602:304:cf5f:5970:4

I have posted this a couple of times and no one responded, may be third time is the charm :)

The bowl is about 16 inches wide. It is Fully handpainted under the glaze including the mark. The dark blue portions has metal in them which I haven't seen before. The base is unglazed and it is rough.
It has a Xuande mark but I don't know if it is authentic or not.
I have seen a few similar bowls with the same motif but without the metalic effect(at least from the pics I saw) online which have been attributed to Ming dynasty period but I have no idea if my bowl is that old or just some recent copy.

And another example with the same pattern but completely round
