I have a Chinese painting done on what I believe is a marble slab, bearing inscriptions and a seal. I have no idea what it says. Can anyone please help me translate the inscription and identify the artist/period? Thank you

Why won't you share the picture of the whole plaque with us. We are not a free translation service, but people interested in Oriental art.

I have a personal interest with the subject of the painting, but won't share unless you do.

@Mikeoz here is the full picture. As you can see the plaque is cracked in several places, as a consequence of a mishap during a moving process. Hence my reluctance at presenting the full image. It is one of my favourite pieces and still pains me to see it in this condition.

Also, at no point have I even presumed to think that Asian Arts Forum is a free translation service. I have always been grateful for any and all help rendered by the likes of Nagy and Bill,
among others, and make it a point to always express it.

My tentative reading of inscriptions,
江南水郷　　-　Jiangnan Region of Rivers and Lakes
壬丑年　Year of Water-Buffalo (...1913,1973)
螢山小　Yingshanxiao (I do not know the meaning,
could be a place name )
於景徳鎮　　At Jingdezen
Seal,
四　　　-　Number 4

I am very glad to have some information on the subject of the painting. In focusing on the inscription, however, I have overlooked this seal on the left bottom corner, which I guess might be the artist’s seal. Am hoping that it helps to identify it further. Left bottom encircled seal like character,
百　-　Bai ( Surname) or Hundred (Number)
I think the seal 四　-　Four - right after the
inscription is the code number of painter,
This 百　-Hundred- could be something else, like
serial number or supervisor's number etc.
