Subject:Vase Identification
Posted By: Jerry G Sun, Apr 01, 2018 IP: 24.209.216.178

I've got a chance to purchase a beautiful vase, which stands about 19" tall. Any comments on whether it would be a good value at around $200.00 would be appreciated.

Judging by its unusually perfect white glaze, apocryphal Qianlong reign mark and the opacity of some of its enamels, the answer you're seeking probably lies within the realm of how well the vase serves your decorative needs. It appears to be no older than the late 20th century, in my opinion. On the other hand, $200 could be a reasonable decorative value depending on your local market, the condition of the piece and whether you're seeking an antique.

Best regards,

Bill H.
