Subject:What is the style and origin of this figurine?

Dear Everyone,

Would anyone be able to tell me more about the figurine on the pictures? It obviously suffered some misfortune, but its market value does not matter. I still find it very elegant.

I know very little about Asian art. I would assume that it is a buddhist character? (I hope to be able to repair it!)

Appears to be in a style associated with Sri Lanka. See link.
