東京名所圖繪 - Famous Views of Tokyo
國輝筆 - Brush of Kuniyoshi

Print of Utagawa Kuniyoshi II (1830-1874)

The print depicts the arrival of a portable shrine
to the Asakusa (?) Shrine where Shinto priests bless and purify it.

With regards,
I.Nagy

Hi again, I am curios abot this one. I tried to search for Kuniyoshi II, but the ”older” Kuniyoshi keeps coming up, do You have a link or some other information that I can read about him? I was so surprised that it was two different artists, and I thougt it was pictures from the same event. I bought the two triptyks at an auction here in Sweden, so I did not get any more information. I am so grateful for Your respons, thank You very much for that! Many happy regards/Maria

Correction,
Sorry for confusing you, the correct reading is,
國輝筆 - Brush of Kuniteru
Print of Utagawa Kuniteru II. (1830-1874)
(Just like in case of the following posting)
Probably I was tired when I made my answer.

With regards,
I.Nagy
