Subject:Marks on Pair of Vases
Posted By: Dianne Arthur Sun, Mar 11, 2018 IP: 124.169.16.196

A pair of gilded vases approx 10.5cm high. Ribbed with lady birds and leaves with worm holes and decorated one with cats and the other with dogs.
The mark beneath both vases we think is Chinese? and we are not sure whether they are Qianlong or Kangxi.

Dianne, you're asking everyone to violate the Prime Directive of Chinese porcelain collecting, which is 'Never try to judge a piece on the mark alone'. I for one believe I would be doing you a great disservice to try to assist without seeing the rest of the vase in good detail, but I'll venture that what I can see now doesn't impress me in any positive sense of the term.
