Subject:Chinese Monk Painting
Posted By: Keith Wheeler Sun, Feb 25, 2018 IP: 2601:18b:c100:8c20:6

Hello,
I have this Chinese "monk" painting. It contains gold splashes and several seal marks. I was told that it was written in the 1990s. However, I was also told that it may have been cut from a larger image. Evidence of this may be seen in the frayed edges of the painting.

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

it is modern, combining Sui or early Tang dynasty court lady figures with the sun and its mythological symbol, the crow. the cyclical date included corresponds to 1996.
