Subject:Large carved seated figure, removable head, glass eyes

This rather large extreamly well carved seated figure is a mystery to me. The head is removable and has an Asian character at the front base and back base. There is also a character on the body where the head goes in. There are glass inserts in the eyes and it clearly sat on something as you can see the robes are cut out. The robe is covered with circles made up of dragons. This piece measures about 28” tall and 31” wide. Any information as to age or origin would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for this forum.
