Subject:Kangxi porcelain plate?
Posted By: Chris J. Sat, Feb 03, 2018 IP: 85.222.46.101

Is this plate from Kangxi period? The plate is in excellent condition. Painting is very well done. In original it looks much better as on photos. The diameter of plate is ca. 23,2 cm

Looks more like Japanese Imari porcelain decorated in Chinese Kraak style. Possibly late Edo period.

It may be from the Kangxi Period but it isn't Chinese but Japanese Imari Kraak. Here's a link to another one that's likely about the same age as yours, that is if the real experts agree. Kangxi plates wouldn't have the kind of spur marks seen on the bottom of your dish.

Best regards,

Upon closer look this piece has more details than the typical Japanese imari kraak. During those time the Japanese copied to fulfill the export demand for the west where Chinese export were at its declining at those time.
