Subject:Superb vase, Qianlong or Republic ? (qianlong mark)
Posted By: Nick Wed, Jan 31, 2018 IP: 87.65.102.120

Hello to all of you

These are pictures of a 21,4cm vase I recently acquired.

Could anyone help me in making sure this is genuine Qianlong or rather republic period?
Porcelain has a green color when submitted to flashlight and the vase is not standing still on it's base.

Shoot if you have any question !

More pictures will follow

The 'traffic light' border identifies the vase as late 19th or early 20th ct export ware.

Agree with Republic dating. Here's another example from same period with Qianlong mark in red and no traffic lights. Just under 12 inches tall.

Best regards,

Bill H.

Thanks a lot Bill!

I wonder what would be the market value at a specialized auction house? Any thoughts?

Thanks for your input, as always!

Market value is another word for demand. And demand changes constantly ...

Hello Golgotha

Thanks for your advice.
Do you have an idea about value?

My guess would be that there are tons of them around. But you could put it up for auction and see what happens.
