I'm not a footwear expert, but those are demon boots! They are probably Japanese or Chinese feet for a god in a temple; a lot of the gods in temples are made of ceramic and oftentimes they would be made of various parts put together on site.

Something like this: http://l7.alamy.com/zooms/a97ff9d01a314aada080ed061859b672/tian-tan-temple-hongkong-spirit-god-ceramic-clay-pottery-glazed-bt63eg.jpg

That makes perfect sense. Is there a better way to tell age or exact origin ? Are they collectible or hold any real value in pieces. Great info that is much appreciated!

So low and behold as i was inspecting the boots today a tag slide out from the toe part of the inside. I reached inside and have taken a photo of what it read. Do you think these are really 17th century? The history is quote intersting of the process to make these. I was thinking of starting a new post that said sangkhalok ware boots. Any of info would be appreciated.
