I inherited 2 plates and I am not sure what the background of the plates is.
Any information is welcome.

Very handsome Japanese Imari plates - possibly early 20th or even earlier.

Please remove the horrible hanging strap, but do so with great care because they are notorious for causing damage to the fine rim of the bowls.
