Subject:Large Chinese Famille vert ginger jar. Info please
Posted By: Brandon mccloskey Wed, Jan 24, 2018 IP: 173.191.104.106 Hi guys, I have this large 11" or there abouts what I believe to be ginger jar. Sadly (or not so sad depending in the age) its missing its lid and has a few pieces missing from the lip. I was curious if anyone could tell me the date It has a stamp on the bottom, sorry if the orientation is not right, and if the scene depicted is relevant to anything. Notice the bridge has some writing on it. Thanks in advance guys! |

Posted By: Brandon mccloskey Sun, Jan 28, 2018 Thank you Bokaba for your response. What makes you say its peoples republic? Is there something about the mark? I am working to build my knowledge, I dont just want to have people tell me whats what lol. That being said, as to my knowledge the enamel decoration seems more inductive of late 19th C. early 20th C.? |
