Subject:Please Help in Identification of these HEAVY ANTIQUE BURLWOOD HIGH RELIEF VILLAGE SCENE
Posted By: Austin Sun, Jan 14, 2018 IP: 69.161.162.221

Hello
I had acquired the 20-30 years ago at an estate sale in west greenwich RI. ust i was thinking about selling them but I'm unable to find any similar reliefs anywhere. And i really don't know which culture made em they are hand carver ar are in the high relief range i believe and are done very well.

1) I believe they are Burl Walnut
2) Origin Chinese
3) Size is 11 3/8 Wide By 16 7/8" High by 3/4" thick and weigh approx 30 lbs

Also it's a solid hard sounding wood. Not like Mahogany perhaps walnut burl.

It seems like if these were tourist traps some would pop up some place .I'd hate to sell them for 20 or 25 bucks and then see them for sale on ebay going for a few hundred or even a thousand bucks. I know that wishful thing but i had sold an item on eBay back in 1999 for $1800 and the guy broke up the Document and made like 10 times that Ya i know you got to make a profit. And i'm glad for him and i should of done better research on WWII Document.

Well any info you can provide would be greatly appreciated

Thanks Austin

P.S, Did any of you check out the Chinese Dragon Urn i had posted if not please do ;-)
