Dear Yuval

Congratulations, this is genuine Qianlong haha. Having both these objects is instructive. Compare the pure Kangxi blue of the first object, with the slightly inky, dirty blue of the second.

Then compare the way the flowers are delineated between the two; the Kangxi style is with washes of cobalt, the Qianlong style, in the absence of the good quality cobalt of the former reign, is hatched with thin lines.

Kind regards
J.Lim

The first plate is a Kangxi Period "kraak" export for the Dutch market, probably c. 1700. The second plate looks mid Qianlong, maybe 1760-1770s or so.
