Subject:Vintage Teak Mask
Posted By: MLong Thu, Nov 09, 2017 IP: 97.118.13.138 Can anyone shed some light on this object? I believe it is a teak wood Samurai mask, presumably of Japanese origin, but not completely sure. It is 9" x 13" and VERY heavy, with no written markings. Acquired by my father in the late 1960s while residing in Vietnam. It used to have a carved wedge of ivory teeth, but was lost over the years and many moves. |
