Hi Jon,
The mark reads:
- On the right: Satsuma 薩广 Yaki 焼 no 之 (or: Kore) = (This is?) Satsuma ware.
- In the middle: Asayama 朝山 Zo 造 Shi 士 = Made by (Mr.?) Asayama.
- On the left: Choshuzan 長州山 no 之 Ga 画 = Choshuzan painted this.
Choshuzan is one of the most common marks on Kyoto Satsuma (dragon)ware during the 2nd half of the Meiji period (1890-1910). It might be a surname or could be a kiln, studio or workshop as well.
I could not find anything about Asayama.
Regards,
Martin.
