Here's a link to a much higher definition version of the picture. I think you will see it doesn't have much to do with the 8 immortals, although it shows a pretty well immortal sort of scene.

I am uncertain what the vegetable is that the fat guy on the right is holding although it certainly seems to be blooming as he contemplates the young girl at the center of attention.
Bill H has been providing me tutelage and I now have pretty much accepted (sadly) that this is probably not the work of Wang Dafan (1888-1961) although that is what the seals purport to say,
Nonetheless, my provenance is pretty good that this cannot be earlier than the early 90s. It is definitely hand painted and in my view a pretty interesting piece. Even if it wasn't Wang Dafan, whoever painted this has a lot of talent and imagination.
I'm trying to sell some of the others I hold - this one I intend to keep to remind me of my youth in my old age (ie now).
