Subject:More Pottery Marks
Posted By: Ian Dubin Fri, Sep 29, 2017 IP: 42.2.219.172

Hi there and thanks in advance.

As noted previously I have acquired a fairly extensive collection of Chinese art, at least some of which appears to be mainly Republican Era, including some nice ceramics and pottery. Provenance is excellent as they were sourced from the estate of a collector who operated in Hong Kong from the 50s through the early 90s

I am currently trying to identify the marks on the pottery jars shown in the attached photos.

These are sealed bottles of Mao Tai - Chinese Rice Whiskey.

Grateful for any assistance.

Bottom inscription reads,
貴州仁懐恒興酒坊 Guizhou (Province) Renhuai (City) Hengxingjiu (Rice whiskey) Workshop
窖蔵茅臺 Maotai stored in cellars
民国三年 3rd Year of Republic = 1914

With regards,
I.Nagy
