Subject:Marks on Vase- Period - Help
Posted By: Simeon Mon, Sep 18, 2017 IP: 131.152.34.56

Dear members,
Can someone please help me with the identification of this marks and the period? The vase looks verry old and has beautiful blue / white paintings on it. But i don't know the real age of it.
Thanks for your help!
Best regards
Simeon

This is an apocryphal mark of the Qing Dynasty Kangxi Period (1662-1722), Can't say much more without looking at the rest of the piece for possible clues to age in the motif and form.

Hi Simeon

Can we see more of the vase?

"Kangxi Nian Zhi" - a four character Kangxi mark typical not of the Kangxi period but of the late 19th century - confirmed by the "mucky" shade of blue and the coarse footrim with a typical 19th century profile.
