This is a cloisonne vase of rather recent manufacture.

In addition to being shown 90 degrees to the right of optimum viewing position, the mark is somewhat rougher than I've seen before and written in a more standard cursive script to read from the left in the Western, vice Chinese traditional writing style, which is read from the right. Not your fault, but it did keep me guessing for awhile where I'd seen something like it before.

So to get to the point, your marked vase was made by Beijiao Arts & Crafts (北郊工艺), a suburban cloisonné factory in Changping District, north of Beijing.

The link leads to information on another forum site. I've also uploaded some images from my files showing a vase with what I think is a more recent, circa 1980 vase of the same company seen at a recent estate liquidation sale. Its mark reads from the top right in seal script, for which I show in a more readable black & white graphic image.

Best regards,

Bill H.

The intended link failed to download due to operator error, so here are a couple of them. Both require a machine translation capability with your browser.
