Posted By: Ara Mon, Jul 31, 2017 IP: 2605:e000:908b:3000:

Oh wise Asian art collectors, does anyone out there recognize the Kanji signature on this Japanese bronze piece? Thanks for any help you can provide!

'Kinryû' (金竜).
You are seeking from us information and probably also an assessment but your image shows only a detail, not the complete object.... . What is it? A temple bell?

Guy.

Thank you so much and you are absolutely correct! It in fact is a temple bell, actually quite a large one, and oddly it is signed three times along the rim 'Kinryu' as you so kindly informed me. I've attached an image for your viewing enjoyment. Do you think this dates to the Meiji era or later?
