Posted By: uverlord Mon, Jul 17, 2017 IP: 88.174.21.5

Hello
Could anyone tell me more about the quality of this fine porcelain plate (20.5cm) and if it is really from the Yongzheng period like marked?
Thank you!
Uverlord

Looks like a late 20th Century reproduction to me.

Possibly late Republic-mid-20th century. Motif of "Eight Immortals on the Waves". Whoever painted this had a naïve appreciation of human anatomy, tending to give childlike hands and arms to some of the adult figures. I've seen similar porcelain paintings before. Here's a vase from around the same time and having more or less the same painting style. The past owner was of the opinion or had been given to believe it was Qianlong period.

Best regards,

Bill H.

Thank you Bokaba and Bill for reply.
I found this charger decorated with a very similar scene.
But I have no access to other informations and pictures.

Dear Uverlord

I think I'm with Bokaba on this object, for one reason; the double circle around the mark has been printed on. That automatically makes it very modern to my eyes.

Kind regards
J.Lim
