Subject:Old Chinese POT? tea or alcohol? help needed!
Posted By: casper Sat, Jul 01, 2017 IP: 95.148.126.131

Hi!

Need help with this impressed mark on photos.

Its looks kinda like:

Da Qing Qianlong Nian Zhi - "Great Qing Dynasty, Qianlong Period, Made".

but im not sure about it, big request to more experience guys to help with identification of this piece. I had a feeling it could be used to store the alcohol. Strange, but there is no lid, whole pot is one piece, just have hole in the bottom part next to mark.

Thanks in advance!

Your pot is called a Cadogan pot and is for wine. It is filled from the bottom.

Check on Google for more information.

Thanks a lot mikeoz! Can anyone help with the mark? Do you guys think it might be a real piece, if yes how much it will be worth?
