Subject:Indentify mark and Subject

I recently purchased this statue but cant figure out any idea of date and origin, subject etc.
I appreciate any thoughts. there is a mark inside the sculpture and it is made from two different coloured clays.

Figure made in ShiWan pottery in Foshan in Guangdong province, Southern China.

As the pictures are cropped and we can't see the whole figure, it is a bit hard to positively identify the character. Possibly one of the loans.
