can anyone identify the dynasty of this painted terracotta horse and cart..

It looks like a tomb figure from the Han/Northern Qi/Tang dynasties, but looks like a reproduction since the pigment appears intentionally washed off and looks like it was roughened with sand paper or something.

thank you. the photo greatly heightens the paint color. there is a layer of orange dust on the object. any other indications of reproduction?

Hi Wayne,

I am no expert in these types of pieces, but the aging looks artificial to me. If this piece were genuine, it would likely be around 2000 years old. This is a picture of a tomb guardian from the Northern Wei Dynasty (c. 5th Century).
