A monkey when in vertical position and when turned sideways there is another creature but can't tell what it is. Looks like the head of the monkey was damaged and repaired.
Any age here or modern? Hetian or other jade?
What do they way the eyes are formed tells us? I can't find jade carvings with the eyes being carved out, they are usually made of inscribed lines and circles.
Also, the string hole is not round but more like ellipse.
