This is a milk pitcher, most likely from a USA or English tea set.

I did not mean to insinuate that similar mugs were not made for the western export market.

Not my field, but it appears to be British c.1760-1780. Maybe Bow, or Caughley. Check on ENGLISH PORCELAIN ON LINE for a more definitive answer.

I agree with Plasticman & snap. The base of the jug shows a fairly pronounced "wipe line" along the inside of its foot rim, which is diagnostic of some 18th century Staffordshire wares, including early copies of Chinese export porcelains.
