Could you please help me to translate these marks on a vintage Chinese gold ring. Thank you.

天昌 Tian Chang/T'ien Ch'ang, should be a company name. more likely to be antique than vintage

Thank you so much! How about other marks? Is there any gold content information?I was told by the seller that it was 20k gold - is that what the marking says? I never had the ring tested. Here is a picture of the ring.

the mark in the middle of your first picture indicates that it is gold 金 but I can't read the second character of that marking. I don't think it equates to 20 carat hardness per se but this is not a field I know much about. It seems like a fairly ordinary ring; it's possible that the inset jade is more valuable than the ring itself.

Hi, please help. What does this marking mean? I understand that 585 is 14k.. I'm really curious. Thanks!

Hi Tess,
Yes your correct. 585 is 14ct gold. Equates to 58.5% gold.
Common in USA and Asia.
375....9ct
585....14ct
750....18ct
