Posted By: Bill H Wed, May 24, 2017 The seal is the rather ubiquitously borrowed Ming-style mark of "Made during the Xuande Reign" (Xuande Nian Zhi). Hard for me to tell, but the fairly good definition of the lotus scroll and seal looks like someone may actually have taken time to carve cast this censer by the lost wax method. Perhaps a candidate for 19th century dating. |
