Subject:Ando Moriage Jar with Inscription

Merely curious what the inscription might say. As the owner states, it was acquired by her father in Japan in 1952.

Can't decipher the text on the vase but on the base is written 安藤造 or 'Andô zô' (made by Ando).
This vase (or another copy) is illustrated in Fredric T. Schneider, 'The Art of Japanese Cloisonné Enamel', Fig. 117, p. C-30.
Schneider mentions that it was commissioned by the Tokyo government, ca.1932.

Thanks, Guy. It seems to have also appeared in an eBay auction, and now it's a collectorsweekly.
