Hello. I saw this platter which I think is made in China and don't know if this is an antique or contemporary. It's very large like 14-15 inches wide. it has a mark.

It's a contemporary example of Chinese transfer-decorated porcelain that tries to emulate patterns found on 19th century Canton hand-painted famille rose export dishes. The base-mark is simply another part of the decoration, and reads down and across from the right in seal script as "Da Qing Qian-Long Nian Zhi", "Made During the Qianlong Reign of the Great Qing Dynasty".

It is probably a Macau production of 1960-70 period, with an apocryphal Qianlong mark, I think.

Now I can see why an antique and 15 inches wide platter was for sale for 60 bucks! Thank you so much for helping me out in identifying the origin and age of this platter.
