Subject:Blue and white plate Oriental scene
Posted By: John Sun, Apr 09, 2017 IP: 188.29.165.194

Hello everyone. I have a small plate, it has an oriental scene, blue and white. I thought the dish could have been made in England , but I can't seem to find the maker. I originally thought it was Caughley an English factory. As they used to make plates with oriental scenes featuring fishermen that are sought after. But I have been told it is not Caughley but it does look as if it is from around the 1700's. The plate is also translucent when held up to light. Could it be Chinese made? Has anyone seen the design before? Any help would be much appreciated...
