Posted By: Bill H Sun, Feb 12, 2017 Your plate or plaque would appear to be Japanese, and to show a scene of the Demon Queller Shoki in a confrontation with one of his quarry. The mark may be one of those meant to be the maker's personal emblem and not written as a standard character. One of the Japanese experts might be able to contribute more authoritative comments. Here's the only remotely similar Japanese plate or plaque I could coax out of liveauctioneers.com (link). |
