Can anyone tell me if this cloisonne set is Japanese or Chinese?Has beautiful colors,Red,Blue,Yellow,Green,White with a Black ground.And can anyone suggest a price??

You not say 'set' of what, can see vase and covered jar in similar decoration.

This low-quality enamels on metal (more champlevé than cloisonné, with molded-in partitions) in Chinese style could be made India for sale 'Chinatown' shop in world cities.

Today curios in one country style can be made almost anywhere else. Souvenirs for historic places Italy, Greece, Egypt, made in China.

Quality - muddy colors, awkward depiction dragon, sloppy application enamels not completely fill own section.

But could be made recently China, Hong Kong, Macao. Could have had stickers say where made. Not of much significance where made, but more description might offer clue. Is inside of pieces and bases enameled? What color? What bases look like?

During the 1970's the turn on, tune in, drop out, culture was buying a lot of these being imported in vast numbers. Most of the larger pieces are dented, chipped or discarded. I have a pair close to the ones in the photos that have a mark on the bottom, obviously these vases are not from between 221 and 206 BC. I would say 1960's or 1970's

Chinese(you can tell because the wiring is exposed and polished,in Japanese c;oisonne it is covered by enamel).Value $US 200-250
