Subject:Qingci rams, Western Jin?
Posted By: peach88 Wed, Jul 23, 2008 IP: 67.86.28.162

I have had a pair of rams for many years. After some research I think they could be Qingci/ celedon, probalbly from XiJin (Western Jin) period. In addition to the documented ram shape from the period, there are silver/brown dots on the glaze which fits the character in the period. Need confirmation from experts. Thanks!

Subject:Yueyao rams, Western Jin?

I realized that I did not describ the item correctly. It should be Yueyao ram. I am sending 2 references: 1)page 91 in Li, Zhiyan's Chinese ceramic collectiong and investing (in Chinese).
2)Sotheby's auction in Amsterdan, 2002. My ram looks more like the one in Li's book with oilve brown color. Could anybody provide feedback? Thanks!
