Posted By: phil Thu, Jun 26, 2008 Sadly not Kangxi M&P I`m afraid, all the signs are that this is a modern copy. |

Posted By: phil Sat, Jul 05, 2008 Hi LKeh, when you say, "Pyro is right both these pieces aren't right" are you also referring to the fish cup I posted? |

Posted By: LKeh Mon, Jul 07, 2008 In my opinion the fish cup is late 19th century or later from the color and consistency of the blue pigment which is bit light and washout. The clear overglaze is a little thin and in Kangxi pieces under a microscope the overglaze bubble size are rather large and a thick layer and appears more hazzy macroscopicly . Also the presence of many black bubbles microscopicly, which appears like a dark surface tint macroscopicly. |
